the Day has come

foto courtesy of Domenico Pescosolido (www.domenicopescosolido.com)

after 2 years of wishing and waiting, and more than that of wasting money and time on other useless equipment, today was the Day....
my bank account became A LOT poorer, but my feelings are definitely higher.

An M6 black body, plus a 35 mm F2 (the last pre-aspherical version) have entered my flat, and now it's hard to hide my excitement.

To honor the newcomer I bought a Ilford FP4 125 and shot it straight away in the streets of Milan. I'm quite sure most of the shots will be out of focus, since too many years of SLRs have accustomed me to WISIWIG (What I See Is What I Get) and looking through a rangefinder for the first time makes you think that everything is in focus, forgetting about that little box in the middle where you should actually check....

It is just a shame too find out on a saturday night that you ran off of Rodinal though. I'll have to wait until monday to see what I have been missing for so long...

stay tuned
